During the Covid-19 lockdown, we carried out a Venice surface water sampling for assessing the presence of microplastics derived pollution in the channels of the old town of the city (data will be released in September with the kind support of Montani Institute in Fermo). Venice Lagoon Plastic Free is now monitoring the rising tide of plastics in Venice by surveying and removing marine litter and plastics.
